LOGO DESIGN

SHORT COURSE

Have you been thinking about becoming a logo designer? Well you are in the right hands with us

Logo Design is the creation of a symbol or design through visual communication to identify a company or organisation. Elements of Logo Design can include the colour palette, shapes and icons, composed use of text and illustrations. As a Logo Designer, it is important to create logos that grab the attention of consumers and improve the brand identity of an organisation or company. Whilst creating logos it is crucial to be creative, communicate an effective message to your audience and have a good planning process that works best for you.

At The Creative Design School, we offer a Short Course in Logo Design which is suitable for people who are interested in designing logos for brand identity. In this course, you will learn what Logo Design is and its importance for companies and organisations which will help your understanding and knowledge, learn how to use typography for designing logos, how to use shapes and styles that will make your design stand out, develop a creative process that works best for you to minimise frustration during the process of designing, carry out effective research and understand its benefits when creating logos, and finally, creating your very own logo design.

These are important skills to have as a Logo Designer which contribute to creating effective logos that work. Our support and guidance through this course will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills you need to become a Logo Designer.

There are 7 different modules to be completed within this course which will be worked on over a duration of 7-8 weeks, and flexibility is offered to those who may have other commitments. As a guide to the amount of study time each week for this short course is approximately 5-8 hours each week, based on past students.

After each module is completed, you will be given projects to demonstrate what you have achieved in this module. Your course tutor will help identify your weak areas so that you feel confident and prepared for these projects.

You will also learn how to use different software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign or Affinity Designer, Photo and Publisher. Support on how to use this software will be provided during the course. You can contact your course tutor through the online campus messaging facilities, and you will meet with your course tutor once a week for a Skype lesson.
